Why it is started? :

The question came up again and again, why patients like Arpita, being a doctor herself, came in advanced stage, and worked till she collapsed and admitted to ICU. Our interactions with patients and families shared that usually lack of medical facilities in their home towns and they wished to maintain secrecy about their disease from their own communities. Every platform of doctors and NGOs echoed that cancer is mostly curable but patients come in late or in advanced stages.

Vision Paradise, after meeting several groups, patients decided to institute an annual award for doctors working in cancer management for rural poor in Bihar & Jharkhand to find some answers from doctor’s perspective and recognizing and encouraging more doctors to work in rural areas. We hope that our very small beginning will turn Arpita’s dream into a reality.
