Arpita did her schooling in UK and St. Joseph's in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu India. MBBS from Russian State Medical Academy and after getting her medical Registration from Medical Council of India & Delhi Medical Council completed her internship training in Northern Railways Central Hospital. As a Junior Resident in Kalawati Saran Hospital and National Criticare Centre, Delhi, realized the challenges faced by doctors in Government hospitals in providing quality service to patients. After passing her PLAB, she went to UK following her father’s footsteps and wanted to be a cardiologist. She did her clinical Attachment in illustrious hospital, Like St. Thomas Hospital, London, Royal Albert Edward Hospital, Wigan and joined as Resident House Officer (MEDICINE & CARDIOLOGY) In Countess of Chester Hospital Chester UK. She was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, Stage IV B, while working at Chester Hospital, UK as Resident doctor in December 2005, doctors gave her only six months. She recovered fully after her treatment at AIIMS Delhi and went back to UK but the cancer came back and we lost her on 19 November 2008.
